However, I wasn't wowed by the latest series. Over the years, Adams has branched out from drawing (some of the most dynamic comics I can remember, by the way). Neal Adams is the author and illustrator for this six-issue run. I didn't even know this new series was a thing till I found it by accident.

including the run he had in the FOREVER PEOPLE strip. I LOVED Deadman back in the day, and in the incarnations that came about later. The way Adams broke the comic frames and the angles he used to set up the action were like nothing we'd ever seen before. Adams didn't do the first Deadman issue, but he was in there quickly and he's the one most people remember associated with the strip. I was also grooving on Neal Adams's artwork. I was only 9, but that colorful costume, the fact that he was a trapeze guy, and the whole idea that he was a ghost able to inhabit the bodies of others really caught my attention. I remember when Deadman first appeared on the stands back in STRANGE ADVENTURES in 1967.
